Braddock's Field Revitalization Master Plan

The Braddock's Field Development Team created a Master Plan that calls for the revitalization of the neighborhood surrounding Library Street and Jones Avenue in the communities of Braddock and North Braddock, Pennsylvania. The multi-phase plan included the construction of twenty-nine new for-sale homes, extensive landscaping, the installation of new parking areas and support for the creation of additional recreational opportunities.
This Master Plan was the realization of an analysis and planning process begun by the Braddock's Field Development Team, consisting of Steve Catranel Construction Company, Inc., Hanson Design Group, Ltd. and The Mon Valley Initiative, working in conjunction with the North Braddock Housing Working Group and the Housing Subcommittee of the Tri-Borough Development Forum. The planning process was supported and funded by the Sanders Task Force and the Redevelopment Authority of Allegheny County.
The focus of this Master Plan was to build on the foundation laid by the Tri-Borough Development Forum, which was seeking to unite communities in an effort to make a more substantial and sustainable impact on their fabric. To this end, development strategies were designed to address the neighborhood's physical needs.
The Master Plan is over 70 pages long and includes information such as an Evidence of Need, Master Planning maps, house plans and elevation drawings, photographs of sites and neighborhoods, recommended improvements, a plan for project funding and a Market Feasibility Analysis.
