  Thomas Boulevard Homes
boxboxboxbox

The neighborhood of North Point Breeze, originally named after the Point Breeze Hotel, flourished within the City of Pittsburgh after the introduction of the trolley in the 1800's. McPherson and Thomas, the major streets of the neighborhood, emulated French boulevards with wide, divided roads, floral islands and a mixture of apartments and mansions.

The area around the project site is a unique context of mixed historical housing styles and large mansions. Two new duplex houses were designed to respect the character of the large historical mansions of the neighborhood, and still offer a realistically priced house for today's urban market.

These duplexes were designed to appear from the street as large single family houses with brick facades, full front and wrap-around porches and characteristic dormers and bays. Each of the new housing units also feature integral garages, 2 to 3 bedrooms, decks at the rear and a view of Westinghouse Park. Prior to construction of new foundations, two of the four units had been presold.
